mostly nonspoilery reaction post
So I read the Potter book. About 2 pages per minute; seems I'm pretty consistent. I need to go back and re-read it, obviously, but my immediate reaction is: well, I didn't hate it.
She didn't do what I wanted her to do in re: killing off Harry, but I suppose that's what's expected. I just didn't expect her to take the Dumbledore-ex-machina approach AGAIN for that. Sigh.
Some really terrible parts, some really good parts, and a whole lot of killing. I think that's my takeaway.
AND OLIVER OMG!!! \o/

And I totally chortled "OLIVER WOOD!!!!!" when he showed up, because that Sean Biggerstaff kid is totally cute in the movie...and hee, his name is "Biggerstaff." I'm 12.
