a. So a long time ago, someone posted or sent me a remix of "Goldfinger" by the Propellerheads, and it was good. And then this evening, driving to E's for dinner, I heard this song "History Repeating" and was all "hmm, this is obviously a remix of something, and the singer sounds like Shirley Bassey!" And lo, it *was* Shirley Bassey, and it was the Propellerheads again, and does anyone have either of those songs? I have been searching and cannot find them.
b. I read a lot of political blogs. A lot. And the one thing they all have a tendency to do is refer to newspapers, TV news, etc. as the "mainstream media", which gets abbreviated MSM. Naturally, in my head MSM = men who have sex with men (or the personals site version: men seeking men), so you can imagine the confusion this causes. A similar thing happened when everyone was squealing about Fullmetal Alchemist: the abbreviation everyone uses is FMA, which in my head stands for "Federal Marriage Amendment", the anti-gay amendment to the US Constitution that's been bandied about for the past five years (and before).
c. The local Safeway has started selling conversation hearts. This is not fair. Just when I started having some willpower about losing weight, too.
