So I "failed" my vision test -- that is, I've got glasses on my face right now. They're Nikes and they're way more than I anticipated spending on glasses, but the LensCrafters had no attractive frames cheaper than $150 and it turns out I have astigmatism (no *wonder* when I tried on friends' glasses they didn't do anything for me), so the combined frames/lenses/exam package ran me over $450. Ouch. I'm (stupidly) not on the vision plan at work, but that will be changing next open enrollment. Oh yes.
If you're interested in seeing the frames I got, you can go to Nike.com and try navigating their ridiculous flash menu (I'd post a direct link to the frames, but the flash menu means I can't). Go to the "eyewear" section of the website, and choose prescription glasses, men's, and look for style 4091 in gunmetal gray. They're a bit shinier than I'd like, but I think they look nice.
And now that I've spent a good chunk of my paycheck, it's time to hound my roommate for his share of the rent.
