a. I have a doctor's appointment for my first physical in six years. SIX YEARS. I've probably got all kinds of crap wrong with me. Anyway, I have to leave for that in like 20 minutes, so I'm getting this done first because I HAVE PRIORITIES.

b. I then have to come home and go back to work. The universe doesn't believe in fairness. Though if I'm lucky, I'll get to go to the gym, too.

c. The Idol results show is on, but I will skip it and instead get the reults from the TWoP boards. And then write porn some stuff. ::shifty eyes::

d. Someone should write me really explicit Jared/Tommy tall-boy porn in comments, because the world needs more of that. If you want to make it on the set of Cheaper By The Dozen with Jared all bully-top, I would not complain, though I could see a case made for the reverse as well.

e. Why are all the days between submitting my Remix story and waiting for the Remix archive to go up THREE TIMES AS LONG?! ::waits impatiently::

f. It occurs to me that many of you on my flist were not there when I first talked about the David Boreanaz clone in my chorus. It's v.v. distracting. Fortunately (well, unfortunately, but fortunately for my concentration!) he's in chorus 1 of our double-chorus piece and I'm in chorus 2. For a picture of him, click here )
He's a lawyer in San Francisco. In rehearsals he's usually in a button-down with his tie undone and his hair a little mussed and nnnngh.

And now I leave or I will be late!

So the Idol results surprised me, but that's because I still haven't watched the performances (::kicks Azureus:: Download faster!). It's not that I was surprised at who left, but at who was in the bottom three with that person! From what I have read, though, you have to see the show to understand, and so I wait. I probably won't post about it, though.

I feel the need to mention that while *at* the medical center, while waiting for the shuttle to take me back to the train station, I was approached by an Army recruiter. I guess this shouldn't surprise me as an able-bodied white male in his early twenties. I gave him a polite "no, thank you" and that was the end of that. I tend to forget that I don't have a giant rainbow flag or pink triangle pasted on my forehead. It did surprise me that he'd be recruiting at a medical center, though.

I was also approached by an evangelizing born-again Christian, but he was polite as well. It's interesting -- I keep expecting these crazy Bible-thumping missionaries, but all the god-folk I see are super-nice and polite. Maybe this is why I don't have quite the hostile relationship with religion that many of my friends have. Agnosticism, after being raised Roman Catholic, strikes my parents as just a hand-waving form of atheism, which to them is completely baffling. And my youngest brother, who is turning into a neo-conservative despite my best efforts, likes to joke about me converting to Judaism, but he jokes in such a way that you'd think Judaism was Satan-worship or something. Eesh. Helloooooo xenophobia.

Tomorrow: rehearsal. And probably rain. Again.
how i feel: complacent
