i'm a pixel here, myself

Theoretically the main benefit of staying home from rehearsal last night was getting to watch Idol. In *reality*, the benefit was writing more smutbox. Of course, for a large chunk of the night I was writing to people "I fail at porn -- I made cookies instead", which was true. [Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies], in fact. I had two of them for breakfast, because I'm a bad person.

But after that, I sat down and more than doubled the length of my smutbox story in an AIM chat with dopplegl, so that's good. Of course, I'm 1300 words in and there IS STILL NO PORN. So in a sense, I do fail at porn. Sigh.

Still at least marginally sick -- I think the real sore throat is going to pop up tomorrow. I just hope it doesn't happen tonight, because I'm going to be the only one on my voice part, so I *have* to go to rehearsal. And in that vein, good news: I don't have rehearsal tomorrow, so I can watch SPN *as it happens*, not in downloaded format. ::dances::

The boss is out at some meeting, and he seems very rushed and harried. I didn't like the sound of his "I'll come find you later."

Boss 1, according to Coworker D, is leaving sometime around June or July, since his wife has accepted a professorship at Harvard. Which is great for him, but *why hasn't he told me*? D says his plan is to keep working with the projects and everything here (which isn't all that farfetched -- I do all my work remotely anyway; it would just mean all our contact would be by email rather than in person), so it may not impact me much at all, but I'd have liked to hear about it. Since D wasn't supposed to say anything, I have to pretend not to know, now. It should be interesting to see how this plays out.

...I hope my job isn't being eliminated. ::frets:: Dammit, Boss 1! Say something!

Everyone should go [ask questions] of my not-yet-revealed list of characters! I've currently got 6 questions from 3 people. If the number of questioners goes over 10, I'll even answer this afternoon!

Also, icon by dopplegl. I know the MAYHEM love is pretty split on my friendslist -- I personally come down as MAYHEM-neutral (if such a thing is possible), but. He looks so happy! Note to self: put a border on it when you get home.
