This is it! The conclusion of our four-part story arc and the conclusion of this chapter in the highschoolery universe. I'm putting it aside for now to work on other things; don't worry, I'll be back to this, but these first fifteen parts will stand together, and in the rare even that I *don't* come back and work more in this universe, they can stand alone. A *huge* thank you to everyone who has followed and commented and nurtured this story over the past two and a half months. Total words: 19,057

For those who may have missed it (since I posted it at 1am PDT): [highschoolery, part fifteen] is up, and it completes both the story arc and the first chapter in the highschoolery universe -- it's not a WIP anymore, for those who avoid WIPs like the plague. You can find all the parts [here].

Next week is going to be a little nuts, so I'm taking today as slowly and low-key as possible: run a few errands, make some food, and play video games all day. I'm gonna get right on that. ::disappears::

Oh, and a very Happy Mother's Day to the moms who may be reading!

So Max suggested I get porn and ice cream to help get past the crap of Friday. I'm happy to say I finally accomplished both of those goals. Cold Stone Creamery, how I love thee. ♥

I started breaking in new shorts today, but they're the "already broken in" kind (not the kind I'd buy, normally, but Old Navy stopped selling the kind I wanted), so that's a little odd. They're kind of... whatever, I don't even know, but they're definitely tighter than the old ones, despite being theoretically an inch bigger in the waist. I hate that men's clothes have succombed to the women's clothes standards of labeling sizes, which is to say: nonstandard. But anyway, when I put these shorts on, they were snug, and when I buckled my belt, it was a notch tighter than I usually buckle it. Am I losing weight? ::hopes:: Um, not that the ice cream will help with that...

Tonight's dinner was summery in honor of today being the first really summery day -- temperatures in the mid-80s, sunshine and *heat*. There were cheeseburgers, tomatoes, and corn, and the aforementioned ice cream came later. It felt like summer, and it was *wonderful*.

Now I sleep with the window open and long for a fan, as I try to convince myself that I will not go completely nuts this week.
