More spammage before I go to bed, but this one I can't get out of my head. I'm rereading microserfs and I came to one of Dan's subconscious pages and the question at the top of it hit me right between the eyes. Here it is for you all; answer or don't as you see fit, though I'd love to hear answers if you've got them:

Q: If there were two of you, which one would win?

First things first: today is my five-year LJiversary. Holy shit. I was a wee whiny freshman in college when I started this thing, and now I'm a wee whiny data analyst living on my own across the country and doing all kinds of things I barely *dreamed* about back then. Plus, I think I write better. An ever-dwindling number of people on my friendslist were with me way back then; I think it's below 20%, even with those people who've changed usernames. This is my 2,203rd entry; I have posted nearly 10,000 comments and received just over 8,000. Clearly I love other people more than other people love me. ::emoface:: Regardless, that averages 1.21 posts a day, with 3.73 comments per post. I love statistics ♥

In less-reminiscent news, there's rehearsal tonight and tomorrow, but I'm not feeling particularly put-out by this. Perhaps I have moved through denial and anger to grudging acceptance? Or perhaps it's just because it's only *two* days instead of *six*. Oh, next week's going to be *fun*.

People! It is TUESDAY. It is also the American Idol finale performance show. So let me talk a bit about this horrible, awful, addictive show ).

Also? I got through this season without an AI icon. And that's enough about that.

So the Idol finale performance show happened, and FRE says that each of them had at least one good song, though Taylor did better on his coronation song than Kat did on hers. I have not seen it, though, so I will pass judgement of my own later. I heard Kat sang "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" again, which, okay, she had a bunch of not-good songs throughout the top 12, and Simon finally picked her a good one for the top 3. She *had* to do that; the rest of hers were weak (except for BHACC, which she also sang). I hate Taylor with the passion of a thousand burning suns, and yet I know he's going to win. Fucker. Also, I made the mistake of going over to the TWoP boards to find out who sang what, and there were people going "Woo! Soul Patrol!" all over the place and I wanted to kill myself. Big shock, I know, given the degenerate state of TWoP these days, but still. Ugh.

For those who might be interested, I posted American Idol RPS (yeah, I don't know either) [here] -- it's friendslocked since I don't want it to be posted elsewhere, or show up in Google, but if you want to read it and you're not on my flist, just email me (my username at gmail) and I'll send you a copy of it. The whole thing is [livejournal.com profile] phaballa's fault anyway, so I feel less guilty, but still dirty and evil.

Rehearsal was okay, I guess. I kind of want to spork the guy who sits next to me -- he's only a year or two older than me, but he gives off this world-weary too-cool-for-school "I hate you" asshole fag vibe. He's constantly rolling his eyes and sighing in that long-suffering manner, and while he sings well, he's making me want to kill myself him *that much more* with every rehearsal. ::ragefist::

And now we sleep, because sleep is where I'm a viking.
