Last night was the first of six SFS nights this week. Hoo boy. I had to sing a performance check before the rehearsal, so that meant I had to show up an hour early and sing through a bunch of shit I already know, to prove to the chorus director that I knew it. We didn't even get singled out! It was all by section, and if I do say so I held my own, even against some of the bigger voices. \o/

Then was the actual rehearsal, and it was pretty good, even if we did stop every thirty seconds to do something the conductor wanted from us. James Conlon is conducting, and, okay, the guy is *really* good. But it didn't help that what he'd been asking from us was pretty much the opposite of what our chorus director had been telling us. Oops. It worked out okay, though, and tonight we add in orchestra and soloists (I am SO EXCITED about two of the soloists; I've never even heard of the other two), so that should be good. I hope.

In non-music news, it may be heretical in this fandom, but I really want [this t-shirt], and will probably order it for myself. Ten bucks! Awesome. And really? So, so true. Yes, my use of this icon is ironical.

To balance out the previous paragraph, have some Texan hotass ).

[livejournal.com profile] ohnotheydidnt is reporting that Project Runway 3 starts Wednesday July 12 on Bravo. Banana Republic is replaced by Macy's as sponsor, so expect a lot of product-placement there.

But oh, welcome back Tim! I've missed you!

Dear Boss:

Generally, I like you. I was worried when you moved into the office right next to mine, since it might have meant less slacking; fortunately that hasn't been the case. I come to you when I have questions, seeking to have those questions answered. Telling me to go away and write up my questions so they have "structure" and not "come barging in on [you] every five minutes" is not the way to win friends and influence people get my questions answered. I understand that I'm enthusiastic about this; it's because this damn problem has been hanging over my head for four days now, and I get a different answer every time I try to poke at it.

suddenly moved to slack the afternoon away,
Drew

TV Guide has a special this week on TV's sexiest men. While I am disappointed that they left The Padalecki off the list, I understand that conventional cameras cannot fit all of him in, and therefore he may have been disqualified for technical reasons. ANYWAY.
