a. Last Verdi performance with the Symphony this evening; it was really special. It was also Vance's last performance as chorus director; a replacement for him has not yet been announced, but I can understand why they've been having trouble with their search -- his are enormous shoes to fill.

b. My iPod now has porn on it. People, there are BOYS FUCKING on my iPod. I win times a bajillion. Holycrap.

c. This Thursday I leave for Philadelphia for a long weekend -- my dear friend B is getting married, and of course I have to be there. In a suit. In Philly in JULY. ::sigh:: Anyway, I will not have 'net access for anything but my RL email while I'm away; I anticipate returning to approximately skip=34590872304593415. FOUR DAYS, people. Eep.

d. Let (c) be a reminder that while everybody else's Sockpuppet Day is Thursday, mine is Wednesday, since I won't be around on Thursday. Let me have it on Wednesday; show no mercy! I'm going to need a laugh.

f. My backpack is dying. It's an L.L. Bean special from way back in the day -- I think it's ten or eleven years old -- one of those monogrammed in block letters. It's one of the first green ones that was ever made, too! But now I have to find a replacement. FRE's ex-boyfriend N was visiting (they're still good friends) and he had a great Eagle Creek pack, but it was part of a set with a rolly luggage case and I do not need more luggage. Any backpack recommendations? It needs to have two large pockets (one can be smaller than the other) and a small organizer-type pocket at the very front. Any suggestions? I know some of you like bags the way others of you like shoes, so any input you have would be awesome.
