the intersection of technology and people -- customer "service"

Kill me now. No, seriously. I just got off the phone with a very sweet woman at AT&T who told me that the previously-mentioned phone/DSL account changes were never put in properly. According to her, this means that even though there is not internet/DSL signal at my apartment, the account says that we have DSL. So she had to put in a thing that says the DSL has been canceled, and that in order for me to change the phone to my name, I'd have to call on *Thursday* and wouldn't be able to add DSL to the account until *the following Wednesday*. That's a minimum of two weeks' worth of no internet at home. I suppose I'll survive, but it ain't going to be pretty. So I apologize in advance for any quiet on my end for the next chunk of time.

Oh, and dammit, that means I won't be able to torrent PR eps! Can someone be an angel and YSI them to me? I can get YSI links at work and snag the files with my flash drive. I would be forever in your debt. ♥
