Skip 300. Wow. So I've been MIA for a few days. Partly it's due to the DLS woes (though I did manage to locate a very weak unsecured network for the purposes of checking email, but not much else), partly it's due to my friend E visiting for a job interview and general area-seeing, and partly it's due to the boy. Boy Things are good; one month is this Wednesday. Last night he showed up at my door spontaneously and it was the cutest thing ever. He used the "b" word on Thursday, so we're Officially Boyfriends, which I think means I have to make a tag for him. Thoughts? I'm leaning toward "some sort of gay superhero" at the moment.

If I don't seem to be around much, it's really because this time of year makes me less fannish. There are new stories, but I generally haven't been reading them. There isn't any new canon. I seem to be completely unable to write more than a drabble at a time. When the weather gets colder it'll probably come back, but who knows? Maybe not. I go through bouts of being uninspired and/or busy; perhaps this is just one of those times.

I do, however, have a recipe for you. ridiculously rich brownies ) Yum.

And because it deserves its own post:

Happy Birthday to my fabulous awesome amazing internet wife, Missi. Here's hoping you get hooked on PR s3 just as much as I have, just as you sucked me into s2.

1. Neverwhere was quite good. Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell is going to take me a *long* time to finish, if I ever do.

2. [Photo of Johnny Weir], courtesy of Andy Towle. For those of you who won't click on something before you know what it is, that's Johnny, naked to the waist, in heels. I know there are Weir fans on my flist -- [livejournal.com profile] callmesandy, have you seen this? You really, really should.

3. Three-song (i.e. way short) a cappella set in Mill Valley tomorrow. The only reason I can go: if I miss the train home from the city, I can stay over with the boy. How convenient! No, really.

4. I need a non-boring aspect of my job.

My pirated wireless keeps being intermittent. Come back and give me what I'm not paying for! ::shakes fist::

A meme, as swiped from [livejournal.com profile] dine:

The mid-year review is an opportunity for the fangirl fanboy and LJ reader to share thoughts about the fangirl's fanboy's performance over the past few months and work together to make the rest of this year great. Both praise and constructive criticism are welcomed. Evaluate me on something I've listed below (or something else entirely!). If you feel like you need a little review, copy and paste this in your journal.

I would like to be evaluated on my performance as:
-a writer
-a commenter
-a friend
-an enabler
how i feel: complacent
