Oh my goodness. yuletide signups stand at 835, and don't close for another nine hours. If you've been thinking about participating, now's the time -- help us cross the 850 line and drive elynross and company insane! Seriously, I have no idea how I'm going to handle reading Yuletide stories this year. I really only ever read the fandoms I know, but that's still a big chunk of fandoms. And some of the best stories are in the weirdest fandoms, like last year's Care Bears story, or the Calvin and Hobbes one. But. EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY-FIVE stories? Dear lord.

Holy bejezus. yuletide has 885 signups. EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY-FIVE.

I have my yuletide assignment! And it's less than three hours after signups closed! AWESOME. This means I have a whole month to panic before I actually sit down and write the thing :D

As was the case last year, I can write exactly one of the requests. I guess that saves the headache of choosing? Anyway, it's a cute fandom, and I haven't seen *any* fic for this character (though I haven't gone searching), so I'm all about breaking new ground this year. Now to review the source material.

To whomever got me: If you're writing in one of the fandoms I chose characters for, please stick to the specified characters (as the rules state), and you really can't go wrong -- smut, slash, gen, whatever (I'm not a het or femslash person, so you won't see any women there). If you write for the other fandom, something plotty would be awesome, or maybe something that explores any of the characters. I'm not picky. I'm sure I'll be thrilled with whatever you write :)
