Working from home so I can field the interview phone call (my cell reception is crap at work) and what do I hear? My downstairs neighbors going at it. Loudly. Again. (Dear female downstairs neighbor: You do not need to moan at every little thing -- he can't be *that* good. xoxo, Drew) Um. I guess that means they won't still be going at it in an hour when my interview happens? ::crosses fingers::

And yes, my stomach is twisted in knots. More later.

Well, that could have gone better. The ultimate result is that I'm not getting that job, but that the guy is keeping my resume on file because he knows a particular position is going to open up "soon" and that position is a much better fit for what I do. Whatever "soon" means. Of course, it would have been nicer if the job description had *said* that they were looking for someone with 5 years of financial modeling experience, but that's neither here nor there.

I had my coworker poke her friend at the company to see about the other job I applied for, and I guess I'll just have to wait and see. I'm not discouraged, but I'm not encouraged, either.
