I hate the world. No, really: headache, sore throat, the works -- why THIS weekend? This weekend was going to be my last weekend of sanity. I had a holiday party I was looking forward to this afternoon (though I still hadn't gotten a white elephant gift, so I guess I'm lucky?), and I was hoping to spend time on the phone with my mom and grandmom and try to figure out what to get them for Christmas. And then, you know, go GET stuff. Even if I'm using Amazon for a good chunk of my presents this year, I'm sure there will still be stuff I need to go get, and this would have been the perfect weekend -- next weekend, I'm going to be cleaning up from my own party and packing to fly. Still, here's hoping I'm getting the sick out of the way now, so it doesn't hit me when I'm home with family or when I'm skiing.
