i'm a pixel here, myself

The guy I interviewed with just left me a message. I was apparently "the candidate to beat", but somebody came in after I did and surprised them -- he had a master's degree and more work in finance, though he wasn't as strong as me analytically. They offered to him and he accepted. They're going to keep my resume and forward it to anyone they think might need an analyst with my skills. Obviously not the best outcome, but not the worst, either. It's made worse, I think, because I had a real shot at this and was told so -- if A's friend hadn't told me I was their strongest candidate, I don't think my hopes would have gotten up so much. :-/
