Not dead, but certainly not resting. Damn. Today, I had about fifteen minutes between arriving at home after work and needing to leave for rehearsal. In that time, I was able to change, eat dinner, and not do much else. Then rehearsal sucked donkey balls (our first Just Plain Awful rehearsal, I think) and I didn't get home until 10:15. I've spent the last 45 minutes cleaning things and getting my desk in some semblance of order so I could find the concert tickets for my trip to the Symphony on Friday (eeee, Symphony of Psalms!) and now I'm just ready to crash. I have RPF remix email to deal with that's been sitting in my inbox for a week now; clearly I should never, EVER, decide to run something when real life scheduling difficulties present themselves.
I typed up a big work-y post in email that I think is just not going to get posted; half of it's not relevant anymore anyway. Suffice it to say that work is good, but very very busy. I end up putting in more than eight hours a day, and still feel like I don't have a minute to spare. Part of that is learning all the stuff that I need to know as a newbie, but part of it is that a corporation has certain levels of accountability that a nonprofit just doesn't have, and reporting to those who provide your operating budget is important and occupies a good chunk of my time. Also: I got a new computer! A shiny, shiny MacBook Pro -- it belongs to work, but I'm allowed to take it home. As soon as I get it all set up the way I want it, I'm going to need to get them to stick more RAM in it, so I can run all my analyses, but for now: eeeeeeeee!
It's 11:15 and I'm beat. I've skimmed LJ for the past few days, but haven't had a chance to read and comment particularly well; I may have to figure out a way to read at work (or maybe just ditch
ohnotheydidnt... but then where would I get my pop culture gossip?) or checking LJ is going to start to feel like a chore. I predict a massive resurgence from me in mid-May when the show's over. I'll have all this energy and time!
