Lord. I have been away too long again, I guess. And here I was saying I was going to be good, too...
( Two unpopular opinions, cut for your convenience )
WHATEVER. Tomorrow is Macworld and I am anticipatory! Work is going to be crazypants, but exciting! I will continue to write with exclamation points! And think about how I am going to seduce Jon Walker!
There was an audition on Saturday, for a fabulous musical called The Light in the Piazza, but I didn't even get a callback -- it was kind of humbling, actually. I went in telling them I was only interested in playing Fabrizio, which, honestly, I was -- his music is the only guy's music in the show that I really responded to -- and I have his vocal range, so I just assumed I'd get called back: there aren't many really good high tenors who can pull off the stuff Fabrizio needs to sing, and I'm one of them. Of course, I don't really *look* the part at all, so I'm not overly surprised, but it was definitely a wakeup call that despite being a guy who can sing, casting is not a foregone conclusion. I am properly chastised.
In other news, there is not enough fic in my life. Rec me something! RPS for preference: CWRPS, bandom, popslash, whatever.
