@Journey concert; no less than 5 wifi networks in the venue - all powerful enough to hit from the back of the lawn. Perks of a venue so close to the Googleplex?
bexone has gone for booze; show should start in 20 minutes. Crowd is super-varied and I would say average age is at least double that of the Panic show I saw in SF.
Missi, Katie, Fi, we miss you!
eta: we were wondering which songs by Cheap Trick we'd know; they opened with the welcome screen song from Rock Band 2 and then the theme song from That 70s Show. Guess that answers that.
eta2: HOMG ANN WILSON ILU FOREVER. Also, Nancy is doing everything tonight - vocals, guitar, harmonica... Next thing we know, she'll be Bonnie Raitt. Not that that's a bad thing at *all*.
eta3: not!Steve Perry sounds eerily like the real thing, and is probably way better at all the stage antics given that his hip isn't fucked-up. Also, I bet real!SP wouldn't look as good in this pair of leather pants. But. Guys, can we talk about breath support? Not!SP has shit pitch at the end of phrases. Sigh. The curse of being a music snob. whatever. The band is fucking amazing, even after 30+ years.
