Guys. GUYS. phaballa did that "tell me to write something before or after" meme, only she did it with other peoples' stories (i.e. you comment; she writes on one of your stories). This is not for everyone, obviously, because some people don't want their worlds messed-around in, but I don't mind that and I thought it would be awesome to get more of the stuff I like.

All the popslashers on my friendslist need to RUN (not walk) to read phaballa's [Dirty Pop: The Worst Case Scenario Guide to Surviving A Boy Band]. This is the CW RPS boyband AU. It is totally and completely cracked-out and hysterical, but some of the popslash things ring so, so true.

Actually, specifically, she loves all the West Coasters from spn_live, who went totally above and beyond the call of duty last week (and I am *pissed* that I can't be there tomorrow night because of rehearsal, but y'all need to keep it up!), logging nearly *four times* the number of comments she expected.

Go read and send her love, people, because it's NAN and it's PORN and the two of them in the same sentence make life so much more enjoyable.

Anyone who's feeling nostalgic for highschoolery (and yes, I'm thinking about it even if I'm not allowing myself to write it at the moment) can go get a fix from Kassie and Brenda, who are writing their own HS AU that's Mayhem/Paddywhack, and. It's like. I'm all "adlkjfhasdfh HS AU IS MY TURF, BACK OFF BITCHES" but not really because it's Kassie and Brenda and it's hot and brilliant and it's not like I invented the concept of the HS AU or anything. The story of mine that was remixed is [Gratitude], my mistletoemagic story, which I was never really satisfied with, so I'm glad someone else had a go at it. The remix is shorter than the original, and deals with more or less the same details, but I think it's tighter -- more quickly to the point. So go read [Such Polite Boys (The Grateful Captains Remix)]. Cedric/Oliver, PG-13.

I have no idea why I can't sleep. This sucks. I should just call in sick tomorrow, but I've taken a bunch of sick days in the past couple weeks, and I'm probably going to have to leave work early Friday for a cappella retreat, so that feels like a cop-out.

Unhappy thought of the night: next week half an hour of Idol conflicts with Supernatural. This is definitely not good. I'm hoping all the girls I like sing in the first hour.

In happier news, bubosquared has *finally* finished her X-Men Hooker AU (Bobby Drake (Iceman)/Jean-Paul Beaubier (Northstar)) and [posted it], along with [commentary] by her and me together. And hey, it only took most of a year from me seeing a draft to completion! Yeah, you read that right: most of a year.

Also, mcee has run away. To whom will I write more weddingfic? God, I'm going crazy. I'm *actually writing this*. No, seriously. This is the craziest fic idea I've ever had, y'all. And it is actually being born in email. ::scratches head:: I dunno, man. But the best thought, the one I had yesterday? Was that this wedding will have TWO bachelor parties. Yeah. We have to theorize that they'll happen simultaneously, so I have to figure out a roster for each. Rosenbaum is a lock for Jensen's, as is Chris. Welling's a toss-up, though I think he probably comes down on the side of The Ackles as well. So who populates Jared's bachelor party? Leave me good solid theories, people.

Only four more days until I can see Project Runway 2.12 "Reunion". Why does that feel like *forever*? Also, only six days until new Supernatural! Not like I'm counting or anything. ::cough::

a. Man, what I wouldn't give for a chance to ram some people through [a common sense filter]. ETA: aww, it was taken down. It was a jensen_daily post with two banners, each of which had a rather glaring typo.

b. Read [By The Letter] by winterlive right this second, no I mean it, really. Jared/Jensen RPS and just grin-worthy. I've been smiling ever since.

c. My boss is trying to make me learn matrix notation in this particular statistical analysis package. Useful? Yep. Annoying to learn? Definitely. Possessed of a bass-ackwards syntax and a programming language with arcane rules devised by rabid warthogs? Oh yes.

d. New Supernatural tonight, as well as a new American Idol. What's sad is that apparently [Supernatural is moving to Thursdays starting in April], where it will conflict with a cappella rehearsal every week, rather than only occasionally conflicting with SFSC rehearsal.
