hello insomnia my old friend

I have no idea why I can't sleep. This sucks. I should just call in sick tomorrow, but I've taken a bunch of sick days in the past couple weeks, and I'm probably going to have to leave work early Friday for a cappella retreat, so that feels like a cop-out.

Unhappy thought of the night: next week half an hour of Idol conflicts with Supernatural. This is definitely not good. I'm hoping all the girls I like sing in the first hour.

In happier news, [livejournal.com profile] bubosquared has *finally* finished her X-Men Hooker AU (Bobby Drake (Iceman)/Jean-Paul Beaubier (Northstar)) and [posted it], along with [commentary] by her and me together. And hey, it only took most of a year from me seeing a draft to completion! Yeah, you read that right: most of a year.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] mcee has run away. To whom will I write more weddingfic? God, I'm going crazy. I'm *actually writing this*. No, seriously. This is the craziest fic idea I've ever had, y'all. And it is actually being born in email. ::scratches head:: I dunno, man. But the best thought, the one I had yesterday? Was that this wedding will have TWO bachelor parties. Yeah. We have to theorize that they'll happen simultaneously, so I have to figure out a roster for each. Rosenbaum is a lock for Jensen's, as is Chris. Welling's a toss-up, though I think he probably comes down on the side of The Ackles as well. So who populates Jared's bachelor party? Leave me good solid theories, people.

Only four more days until I can see Project Runway 2.12 "Reunion". Why does that feel like *forever*? Also, only six days until new Supernatural! Not like I'm counting or anything. ::cough::

Awwwwww no one wants to play at Jared's party!!

I hate to say it, but I think Chad Michael Murray would be a logical attendee. I cannot STAND him, but he comes to mind.

Others....dammit, why can't I think of more?

As [livejournal.com profile] winterlive points out, there's nothing stopping them from having non-simultaneous parties, and I doubt Mike and Chris will pass up the opportunity to organize two bachelor parties.

Hahhaha good point. I also really like someone's idea below about the cast of the Gilmore Girls (even though I can't stand the show...)

The stripper's gender is the real question, though! I mean, in this fic do they both like girls still? Or is it a whole "I can appreciate the female form, but don't like sex with girls" thing, or what? I'm confused.

::considers:: I can see that. I mean, I'd believe it if it were written convincingly -- that is, written in such a way as to see that they're hot for the strippers, but also that they're still hot for one another. And that's hard to do; I certainly don't claim any expertise at it.

Awww, poor Jared. His only options for the bachelor party are Chad Michael Murray, the Olsen twins, or the entire cast of the Gilmore Girls. Although that last one could be fun since Lauren Graham apparently had a wee thing for him, but no. I guess it's CMM then.

Because seriously, how are they (especially MIKEY) passing up the opportunity for two bachelor parties? They're not. They're going. Besides, Jensen's friends are Jared's friends.

Lookit Mikey. He can put together a slammin bachelor party without breaking a sweat. He knows Chris Pronger of the Edmonton Oilers, y'know. He's a networking fool.

But, like. They happen at the same time, right? I mean, the bachelor party is traditionally the night before the wedding. And you *know* they can't do it together. So when Mikey and Tommy and Chris wrangle Jensen out for a night of drinking and possibly strippers, it's going to be A Night Of Drinking And Possibly Strippers that's going to take quite some time.

Can they simultaneously be with Jared? I'm thinking no. I *want* them to be there, sure. But logistics... shut up, I'm trying to make it at least *feel* real, even if it's WAY NOT.

bachelor parties can take place any time. i was at a bachelorette party that took place a month before the wedding, and the groom's was the week before.

besides, i doubt very seriously that mike and chris would hesitate for even one second to mercilessly shame whichever one of them protested that it wasn't traditional by saying something to the effect of, "well, you pretty white dress will be something NEW, so now all you need is something borrowed..." "come on, man, take it easy on him. brides are particular about the details." "do you think the fact that there's going to be two DICKS on the honeymoon's gonna make it nontraditional?"
